Prisoners Abroad is generously supported by a range of charitable trusts and foundations, each one helping to make a tangible difference to the lives of vulnerable people affected by overseas imprisonment.
From core funding to support for specific projects, every grant helps us in our mission to protect the rights and meet the needs of British prisoners overseas, ex-prisoners and their families.
"As the world grows dark around us… your organisation is a lighthouse beacon that shines ever so brightly, as you continue to help those whom the world doesn’t give a second thought." – A service user
For us, the value of support from trusts and foundations is more than the grant itself. These partnerships enable us to connect with people who share our non-judgmental values and are motivated by the wide-reaching impact that our work has.
"I was hugely impressed by the vital work that Prisoners Abroad does. Without them, ex-prisoners returning to the UK would receive little or no assistance with their rehabilitation. The practical support that Prisoners Abroad provides makes a real impact in reducing homelessness and reoffending and gives people a second chance to make a positive contribution in society.” – A charitable trust that supports our Resettlement Work.
In a challenging fundraising landscape and with increased demand for our services, unrestricted funding is essential and allows us the flexibility to direct funds where they are needed most.
If you are a Trustee, have a connection to a Charitable Trust, or would like more information about our work, we’d love to hear from you.
