Giving a regular gift by direct debit is a wonderful and very effective way to support people imprisoned around the world. A direct debit is simple to set up, cost effective, and helps us to plan ahead.

When you give by direct debit you can become one of the Allies of Prisoners Abroad. You’ll receive a special newsletter three times per year that will show you just how effective your support is.

Giving little and often can make it easier for you to support our work, just as it makes it easier for us to help those in need. There are times when we have to make difficult decisions about what we can and can’t provide for prisoners who need our help. Regular gifts like these make it easier for us to plan ahead.

We are committed to helping the people that will need us in future, people who will have no-one else to turn to. A regular gift will help strengthen Prisoners Abroad’s ability to do more.

£5 per month for a year will provide:

Two months’ grants to a Briton imprisoned overseas for them to buy essential items to survive in prison; like warm bedding for a freezing concrete cell. Plus a package containing books to stave off the boredom and isolation experienced while incarcerated.

£20 per month for a year:

Could help make sure there are funds for a life-saving medical procedure for someone in a prison that provides no free treatment to its inmates.

£60 per month for a year:

Could allow us to support a number of newly imprisoned people around the world in desperate need of food, bedding and emotional support. At a lonely and confusing time, this kind of support makes a huge difference.
