Many people find it difficult to make the transition from the structured prison day to life on the outside, where there is no-one to tell them what to do, and where they must buy and cook their own food.
The return of a loved one can also be difficult for a family which has learnt to survive on its own. Children may feel anger or resentment towards a long-absent parent.
The information sheets below are intended to guide you through what can be a difficult process. If you need further advice, or simply want to talk to someone about your situation, please contact us on 0808 172 0098.
