Pauline Crowe - Chief Executive
Pauline has over twenty years’ experience of working in the voluntary sector, including leadership positions with the International Federation of Multiple Sclerosis Societies, the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations (ACEVO) and the London Community Foundation. Pauline is responsible for strategic planning; the development of relationships with statutory funders; the development of relationship with CEP; and ensuring the organisation adheres to the PQASSO quality standard. She has been Chief Executive of Prisoners Abroad since 2003.
Thomas Lawson - Deputy Chief Executive
Thomas has over 15 years of wide-ranging experience in marketing, communications and fundraising in the voluntary sector. He has worked at the National Peace Council, UNICEF, the Terrence Higgins Trust, NAM (the HIV information charity) and others. Thomas joined Prisoners Abroad in January 2007.
Theresa Gilson - Head of Service Delivery
Theresa has worked at Prisoners Abroad for almost ten years, working her way up from Resettlement Worker to become Head of Service Delivery in 2005. In this role she has lead responsibility for the delivery of all services to prisoners, families and resettlement clients; responsibility for the proactive development of services in line with the strategic plan of the charity; and develops links and relationships with appropriate external agencies, including statutory authorities. Theresa gained a Diploma in Social Work at Brunel University College.
Nancy Wright - Head of Finance
Nancy has over 35 years experience of working in accounts, first in the USA and for the last 18 years in the United Kingdom. As Head of Finance she is responsible for ensuring that Prisoners Abroad’s book-keeping is maintained and successfully audited. For the last two years the Auditors have fully approved the accounts with no comments or recommendations. Nancy is also Treasurer for a small charity, a role she has performed since 2002.
