Thailand visit planned

Next month three of our staff are heading out to Thailand to visit British prisoners there, and to meet with local prison officials. There are currently over 70 Britons held in the country. We will see first-hand the conditions and issues that people face in this part of the world, and in particular the needs of foreign prisoners. We will also be meeting with other organisations based in Thailand. We will aim to strengthen our relationships with them so that we can better support British prisoners in some of the worst conditions in the world. This trip has been made possible due to some additional funding we have received from the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office to help us assess the needs of Britons held in some of the poorest prisons around the world.

The team will fly out on April 16 and return on return on the 28th.
