    International Literacy Day

    Today is International Literacy Day. The organisation behind it, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) says that there are 774 million illiterate adults around the world today and that “they struggle to read a prescription, fill out a form or send a text message.” So clearly the issue of literacy is very serious.
