My name is Billy Moore. I was imprisoned in a Thailand prison for three years. Prisoners Abroad is the charity that supported me during my incarceration. Just one of the services they provide includes sending books, magazines and other reading materials to British citizens held in foreign prisons.
Prisoners Abroad welcomes the news that Melissa Reid’s application for prisoner transfer from Peru to Scotland is being considered.
Aside from supporting British citizens imprisoned abroad, we also provide support to the families involved; whether it’s information, advice, or simply someone to talk to, Prisoners Abroad has a range of services to offer those in need.
In the past week there has been lots of media coverage concerning Justice Secretary Chris Grayling and the Government’s decision to prevent people from sending books and other items to prisoners in England and Wales.
