“I have found out in my time of need just who I can rely on as friends, and I count Prisoners Abroad and your supporters as a blessing sent to me and my family” – Anonymous
In partnership with you, Prisoners Abroad makes a lasting difference to hundreds of Britons imprisoned overseas and their families at home.
Prisoners Abroad is the only UK charity caring for the welfare of British citizens held in foreign prisons. We send life-saving survival and medical grants to people in desperate need, often for the most basic of things e.g. to buy clean water, vitamins and medication. We also send books, magazines and other reading materials, which all help to provide much needed relief from the fear and isolation of life in prison abroad.
Prisoners Abroad is extremely grateful for all the support we receive from those who recognise our unique and vital work. We would especially like to thank the following major supporters who have made a substantial contribution to our work over the last 12 months:
- Guy and Margaret Beringer
- Sir Henry Brooke CMG and Lady Brooke
- Mary Catterall
- Kate Dugdale
- Kevin Fitzgerald CMG
- Dr Catia Galatariotou
- David J Gold
- Michael L Gray
- Professor Christopher and Mrs Fiona Hughes
- Ed and Jo Knox
- Charles and Sarah Martin
- Lynda Martin-Alegi
- Stuart and Lynn Montgomery
- Philip and Sarah Richards
- Linda Ridgers-Waite
