As a Caseworker at Prisoners Abroad, you are integral to the work of the Prisoner and Family Support Team.

Delivering a friendly, professional and efficient service, you will be the first point of contact for Britons arrested overseas and their families, who are often in distress. You will provide advice and information on foreign criminal justice systems, liaise with lawyers, prison authorities and consular officials, and monitor people’s well-being in order to provide appropriate practical and emotional support. You will also liaise with the Resettlement Team to assist prisoners with preparing for release.

You will be a proficient English and French speaker with substantial experience of advice work with prisoners, prisoners’ families or other vulnerable adults. Excellent recording and administrative skills are required to manage the shared caseload, as is the ability to communicate articulately and sensitively and work well in a team.
