Matthew Pinches has been a caseworker at Prisoners Abroad since 2004. In this time, he has visited many prisons overseas including in Trinidad and Thailand, and he manages our survival grants system ensuring that vital support reaches vulnerable detainees. Matthew is a Spanish speaker and came to Prisoners Abroad after living in Spain for over ten years. A significant portion of his work involves dealing with the families of prisoners in Spain and helping them arrange visits and maintain communication with their loved ones abroad.
