Family support group volunteers

The family support groups are run by experienced volunteers who run regular meetings in different areas of the country. Our volunteers are all pictured above - you can read some brief information about them below.

If you are thinking of coming along, you are assured of a warm welcome in a space that is always friendly and supportive.  Please click here for the date of the next support group in your area.

Harold - York

Harold took over the running of the York group in 2015. He is a retired probation officer and brings a broad range of experience to this group.

Dulcie - Birmingham

Expand

Dulcie set up the family support group in Birmingham in 2015. Her background is in anthropological and criminological research and she is currently training in Forensic Psychology.  She sees the huge benefit of people attending the support group.

Kate has been running the Manchester group since 2013. She works for a charity in the North West that works in the criminal justice system and brings a wide range of contacts and experience to this group.

Helen has run our family support group at our office in Finsbury Park since 2014. She worked for many years as a probation officer and brings a wealth of experience to this well established group.

Poppy - Bath

Poppy has worked in the charitable sector for many years and brings experience from many arenas including criminal justice, mental health and disability.  She took over the running of the South West group in July 2018.

Bethane - Brighton

Expand

Bethane graduated from the University of Bristol Law School in 2018. She is currently studying the Legal Practice Course with a Masters qualification, and volunteers for the not-for profit advice sector, all in preparation for her career as a lawyer. Bethane started running the newly founded Brighton Family Support Group in February 2020.
