Family support groups offer a safe, non-judgmental space for you and other family members to talk about any problems you may be facing as a result of your relative’s imprisonment. They are run by a local experienced Prisoners Abroad volunteer.

You will be assured of a friendly welcome and the opportunity to talk to others in a supportive and confidential environment.  When you come along, the only information that we ask you share with others is your first name. You can ask questions, talk to others or listen to other people's experiences.

Until further notice all the family support groups will be run virtually via Zoom.

All meetings held on Saturday mornings at 11.00am

People who have attended a family Zoom support group have said:

As we can't meet up at the moment I think using Zoom is a very good  way for everyone to still see each other and to be able to ask questions or just be reassured that there are other people in the same situation.

I'm in lock down alone so just being in conversation with people is a really positive part of my day. Having the video option is lovely when people are comfortable to be on it, because the face to face interaction is really nice. Joining from the ease of home made me feel really comfortable to talk and share openly too.
